My photography is about quietness and closeness. Often a detail, a form or a registration of the mood in the light. I often capture the details of landscapes and architecture rather than the entire scene. The square format, which I often use, gives the image its own quiet life, without adding drama, but rather emphasizing the peace and tranquality that I often seek in my subjects. I insist on a naivity in my images, in which my own astonishment of the subject shines through and hopefully also becomes part of the spectators experience too.
