The QUICKfind PHOTO browser
It's Christmas very soon and PHOTOgraphical.NET readers shouldn't be left without a Christmas gift from me.
I have therefore - together with Bristol based photographer Peter Ashby-Hayter - prepared a free and searchable photo glossary for you.
But it's not like any glossary you'll find on the web - it's "wrapped" up in easy to use searching software that makes it really easy to look up any photographic term you find on the web.
Finding an explanation for a photographic term has never been easier!
The software is called the QUICKfind PHOTO browser.
What is it? How does it work?
To put it simple: You download a small piece of software (2MB) and install it on your Windows computer. The software will show you the glossary and it will look up any word your mouse-cursor "hovers above" inside your Internet Explorer.
Here's an example:

You are reading an article which includes the word "rangefinder" (to the left), but what exactly is a rangefinder? Just take a look at the QUICKfind PHOTO browser (to the right) and you'll see the explanation. Move your mouse cursor to another photo term and that term is automatically looked up!
To get a detailed description of how the software works, you can read the help file here.
System requirements
The QUICKfind PHOTO browser will run on any Microsoft Windows platform with Internet Explorer 5.5 or never installed.
Where to download!
You can download the software from here:

How to install?

You can contribute
The editor of the Photo Glossary, photographer Peter Ashby-Hayter, is constantly updating the glossary and you can contribute yourself with new "photo jargon"
